Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan - Initially KVS was started with 20 regimental schools to cater the educational needs of the ward of central govt. employees, army and paramilitary forces. But keeping increasing demand of the society in view, this facility was extended up to the civilians and resultant of that KVS is running around 1100 KV’s all over the country and 3 in abroad Moscow, Tehran and Kathmandu. KVS has now become a brand name in educational field by giving outstanding results of board  classes X & XII besides providing opportunities through co-curricular activities for all round development of the students.

K V No 3 Srinagar-KV No.3 Srinagar is one of the unit of KVS among 1100 KV’s, was opened in 1986. KV No 3 Srinagar comprises two sections up to class II and one section up to XII with Science streams. School strength is around 380   along with 34 staff members.

Result of class X and XII-The overall result of Class XII was 80 %, which is very good in comparison of previous year. One student Miss Ritu Rani have selected in AIEEE. Similarly the result of class X was also remained fabulous. The overall result of the class X was 100%.

CCA-Apart from academic achievements, Vidyalaya provided sufficient opportunities to each and every student to perform in co-curricular activities. As per CCE and KVS activity calendar all the activities had been done. About 15 activities were held in Vidyalaya and 275 students were benefited.

      Some Co-curricular Activities where Vidyalaya got position at cluster and regional level

 (i)    Science exhibition- 1 Model prepared by Master Viqar Hussain was selected at sub-regional level and displayed at Regional Level.

 (ii)   Social science exhibition- In social science exhibition 17 students represented the school with models/Group Song/Debate/Quiz Competition/Group Dance/Skit and Group Song got second position at sub regional.

(iii) National Year of Chemistry: Vidyalaya celebrated National Year of Chemistry .Kumari Fozia got First Position in Debate organized at cluster Level.

(iv) National Children Science Congress:

Participation of Two models from this Vidyalaya.

 (iii)   Regional Sports Meet –In the session 2011-12 in Regional sports meet Vidyalaya participated in good no. of activities and got good positions as-

         Events held in the Vidyalaya level throughout the year-

 (i)    Medical checkup- checkup had been done in the Vidyalaya with cooperation of the BSF hospital.

(ii)   Scouts and guides training programme – Scouts and Guides is playing important role in KV No.3 Srinagar. Different type of activities was held which is listed below:-

1.  During 2011-12, 24 cub bulbul and 56 scouts and guides were registered.

2.  Investiture ceremony was held on 13-09-11.

3.  Pratham Sopan and Dithiya Sopan were held at Vidyalaya level.

4.  12 students have got TSPL Passing certificate held at KV No.2 Srinagar.

5.  In this Vidyalaya there are two  Scout Master , Two Guide Captain

One Cub master. Recently Mr Diwakar PRT and Ms. Archana Yadav PRT had undergone training of scouts and guides captain.

6.  My self-have appointed as Chief District Training Commissioner.

7.  Mr Chandresh Kumar PGT Hindi is appointed as District Training commissioner and also as organizing commissioner.   

(iv)   Sports day –Sports day was celebrated on 22-09-11 with children’s day at primary level. Besides of this, Education day, teacher’s day, science day, Hindi Pakhwada and many other days were celebrated form the assembly to give maximum exposure to the children from the stage.

(v)    Common Minimum Programme: Cluster level CMP meeting was organized in our Vidyalaya in the month of November 2011. All the activities organized at the vidyalaya level.

(vi)   NAEP- National adolescence education programme for girls and boys to give the knowledge about physical changes in growing age was conducted throughout the year.
